Game 6 NBA Finals 2011 Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks
Experience and Team effort prevailed over vaunted athleticism.
The Dallas Mavericks overcame the vaunted athleticism of the Miami Heat, despite the poor shooting of Dirk Nowitzki in the first half, with the help of Jason Terry and the rest of the Mavericks. Even Ian Mahinmi contributed in this win.
As Dan Gilbert would say", There is no shortcut!'. Well said Mr. Gilbert. It took the Mavericks 6 years to overcome their major blunder that was the 2006 finals with the Heat. Since then, only Nowitzki and Terry were the original part of that roster. The acquisition of Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion, Caron Butler, Tyson Chandler, and later on Peja Stojakovic obviously added to the deepening of the mavericks' roster. Some of them may not have played big minutes during the finals series but were contributors during the regular season.
This roster, however, is one of the oldest if you will consider their aggregate age. Perhaps, Mark Cuban may have to start injecting young blood in the team.
For the meantime, Mavericks fans all around the globe are cherishing this championship moment.
Go Mavs!

Game 4 NBA Finals 2011 Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks
The NBA Finals is currently tied at 2-2. 2 wins and 2 losses for the Heat and ditto for the Mavericks.
Experts from all around the globe are in unison. The Heat is a far more athletic team compared to the Mavericks. That point is quite obvious. I am a Mavericks fan and I would say "No contest".
Despite the fact that the Heat is a far more athletic team, they are struggling in finishing and winning games against my Mavericks team. At the start of this season, the Heat signed up LeBron James and Chris Bosh to form the triumvirate of Wade, James, and Bosh a.k.a. 361.
So far, Bosh has been inconsistent. You can see him often prancing around the painted area. There were flashes of brilliance though.
Wade, who was a rookie back in 2006 when the Heat won the championship, has been playing like a man with a mission. He probably wants to prove that his previous championship was no fluke. He is the main man for the Heat in the finals series. I expect him to be more aggressive both offensively and defensively on game 5.
LeBron James, LeBron who? LeBron is playing like a vital role player, more like a facilitator than a steamrolling scoring machine that he truly is. He is probably the best all-around player in the NBA today. BUT?!!! He is missing in action in this series.
I am a Jason Kidd fanatic. He is, in my opinion, probably the best assist man in the NBA. He is not necessarily playing great basketball in the entire series, if you look at his turnover ratio. Yet, he brings this sense of stability on the court. I hope he wins his first NBA ring.
Go Mavs

Dear God by XTC The song is flowing with anger: "Dear God..., I can't believe in you"... Despite that, the metering of the lyrics, literary wise, is impressive. The lyricist is certainly a capable "writer".
This song elicited numerous reactions due to its anti-God blitzkrieg. Yet, this song became "one of the hits" during the 80's epoch.
The song started out really slowly and with a melancholic rhythm to it, if I may say. As it goes in a crescendo, it begins to exhibit the angst both in the tone and the rhythm. The song ends reverting to the child's voice, who also sang the first part.
Despite its "anti-God" questioning, I still like the song.

80's
Back in the 80's, the airwaves were overflowing with mainstream pop music.
The fad then was the fashionable Madonna, the Prince of Pop, Michael Jackson ( may he rest in peace), outrageously flamboyant Cyndi Lauper, among others. If you are not a fan of any of them, then you must extraterrestrial, eons distant from planet earth. These artists made copious profits from their respective adoring fans and even from their harsh critics. They still do.
At the other end of the spectrum, a new genre of music is thriving called "New Wave" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Wave_music)
The artists were a kaleidoscope of personalities. There were preppy bands sporting sartorial elegance(so they say) e.g. Spandau Ballet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spandau_Ballet) and sometimes Duran Duran (http://www.duranduran.com/). While others adopted the "punk look" like Billy Idol(http://www.billyidol.com/), U2(http://www.u2.com/ ) etc.
Their fashion preference usually depends on their music.
The progenitor of New Wave in Manila is DWXB 102 (http://dwxb.8k.com/); (http://wxb102forever.com/).
This is all for now...
